    The Opportunity

    We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to support the execution of activities within our finance, compliance, people, and systems functions. This role is execution‑focused, and you will be working closely with our Head of Internal Operations. You will help keep internal processes running smoothly, from invoicing to insurance to people to process documentation and development. It is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, details, keeping things in order and follow‑through, and who wants to build strong operations experience across multiple functions.

    What You Will Do

    The role is intentionally split across two operational areas. Within finance and compliance, you will:

    • Prepare prebills, issue invoices and track accounts receivable

    • Track and manage accounts payable

    • Coordinate with external bookkeepers, tax accountants, and legal advisors

    • Coordinate production of insurance information and track renewal schedules

    • Help develop professional practice documentation and track compliance

    Within people and systems, you will:

    • Assist with implementation of staffing and career development plans

    • Assist with implementation of our health and safety system

    • Coordinate with external HR, HSE, and IT service providers

    • Help manage our physical office space and infrastructure

    • Document, organize, and simplify internal processes and procedures

    • Support the rollout of new tools, systems, and operational improvements

    What You Bring

    • 5 to 10 years of experience in operations, finance, administration and/or office management, ideally with a professional services firm

    • Familiarity with basic financial workflows and time and materials billing processes

    • Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills

    • Proficiency with common office tools, including Microsoft 365

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a Senior Geochemist to lead complex geochemical and water quality investigations and contribute to the continued growth of HydroEQ.

    At this level, you are not just executing work - you are owning projects, influencing technical direction, mentoring staff, and building trusted client relationships. You will receive mentorship on technical and business aspects of the work from the leadership team.

    What You Will Do

    Technical Leadership & Project Delivery

    • Lead complex geochemical and water quality investigations, including ARD/ML, predictive modelling, and conceptual model development

    • Design testing programs, interpret data, and synthesize findings into clear, defensible conclusions and recommendations

    • Develop and deliver technical reports and presentations tailored to diverse audiences

    • Integrate geochemistry with other disciplines (e.g., hydrogeology, engineering) and help clients see broader implications

    Project & Client Management

    • Manage projects from scope development through execution and delivery

    • Track budgets, schedules, and technical performance, adjusting approaches as needed

    • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring alignment on scope, findings, and next steps

    • Communicate complex geochemical risks in a clear, practical manner

    Team Leadership & Mentorship

    • Lead project teams and delegate work effectively

    • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate staff

    • Support team development

    What You Bring

    • 10+ years of relevant experience in geochemistry, water quality, or related fields

    • MSc, PhD, or equivalent in geochemistry, environmental science, or related discipline

    • Professional registration (e.g., P.Geo.)

    • Demonstrated experience in:

      • ARD/ML assessments and geochemical characterization

      • Water quality interpretation and/or modelling

      • Conceptual model development and/or predictive studies

    • Strong project management and client communication skills

    • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality technical work
